Remote learning at MCA has been happening since the schools were closed due to COVID-19 on March 16th. I just a few short days, our teachers developed and implemented a strategy to deliver instruction to our school's students using a variety of methods, mostly E-learning. From live instruction via video applications to assignments and chat rooms on Google Classroom to individual instruction and independent practice, MCA students are continuing to meet and exceed the benchmarks for their grade level as they make this transition to finish the school year.
Our teachers take the words of Colossians 3:23-24 seriously. MCA is a ministry and they are called to serve their students and families as ministers of the gospel. MCA is committed to the students and their spiritual formation in addition to academic excellence. We've had to change the way we deliver instruction, but we are still Midwestern Christian Academy. We are trusting in God to watch over us, protect us and continue to inspire us to do our work of ministry. There was a lot of disappointment over finding out that our last day together this year was March 16th.
We are looking forward to discovering new opportunities and blessing over these next few weeks as we close out a school year in a completely different way than we are used to doing it. We'll find new ways to serve our students and in so doing, serve the Lord Jesus.
