Midwestern Christian Academy offers students the opportunity to participate in interscholastic athletics. Offering athletics at MCA fits with our educational philosophy of meeting the needs of the whole person, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. The athletic program at MCA provides students with the ability to learn and grow in all four of these areas.

We are proud to be part of several leagues that provide our students with opportunities to compete at different levels in athletics, academics, and fine arts. These opportunities allow students to showcase their talents, develop skills, and pursue their passions beyond the athletic field.

Our goal is more than simply teaching students how to play a sport. We want to help them develop teamwork, perseverance, confidence, sportsmanship, and a competitive mindset that will prepare them for the next level.

Go Cougars!

Our athletics program currently offers a variety of opportunities for students across multiple grade levels:

  • Basketball: 5th & 6th Grade Boys and Girls

  • Basketball: 7th & 8th Grade Boys and Girls

  • Volleyball: 6th–8th Grade Boys and Girls

  • Soccer: 4th–6th Grade Co-Ed

  • Cheerleading: 4th–8th Grade

At the heart of our athletics program is a simple message: We play for Audience of One.

We do not compete simply for our coaches, parents, teammates, fans, or the scoreboard. We compete because we have been given an opportunity to use our abilities, work hard, encourage others, and represent our school with integrity.

Whether we win or lose, our responsibility is to give our best effort and honor God through the way we compete, respond to adversity, and carry ourselves both on and off the court. Most importantly, we want our student-athletes to leave our program not only as better athletes, but also as better teammates, leaders, and Christians who are prepared to serve and honor the Lord in everything they do.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” Colossians 3:23
