DISTINCTIVELY CHRISTIAN
“For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:1-3, ESV
At MCA, learning is the process of discovering and understanding knowledge that is revealed by God. Our students gain wisdom by learning skills which help them connect the knowledge they gain in science, math, language arts and social studies to a Christian worldview which helps them interpret and understand their faith in Christ. Academic skills are preparation for life, so our curriculum objectives are aimed at the highest standards we believe our students are capable of achieving. By connecting skills and knowledge to the wisdom of a Christian perspective, we believe we are helping students understand the mysteries of God he reveals in his word, respond by depending on him for their salvation and equipping them to fulfill his calling in their life.
Every day each student in our school is involved in a class which studies the scripture. Once each week, we gather together as a Christian community for the purpose of worship. In addition to classroom instruction, we seek to model Christlike living and the application of Biblical truth in life. We work to help our students grow in their faith and in the ability to interpret and apply Biblical concepts and principles.
